Children

Children are welcome to attend worship with their parents and enjoy a special time with the pastor called "Children's Time". At the close of this time, the children are escorted to Sunday school.

Youth

YOUTH BIBLE STUDY

The 2nd and 4th Sundays at 10:30 a.m., after the Mystery Box

Women

OUR PURPOSE The organized unit of United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

OUR MEETINGS Our General Meeting is held on the third Thursday of each month, September through May, at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. All women are invited to attend.

Our Circles meet on the second Tuesday of each month:

  • Susanna Wesley Circle meets at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
  • Sarah Circle meets at 12:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
  • Friendship Circle meets once a month at 7:00 p.m. in our members' home. Location varies.
  • Yarn Arts Circle meets each Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the Conference Room.

Chili/Bake Sales: March and October

Salad Luncheon and Basket Sale: August

Christmas Tea: first Saturday in December

Please join us in any of these activities as together we celebrate the joy of Christian fellowship through spiritual growth and service.

Mission and Outreach

Our Mission Outreach committee plans monthly Sharing Trees that support programs of the 1st United Methodist Church and other projects locally, nationally or internationally. This includes the following programs for 2011: Books for Guatemala Libraries; UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief); Phone Cards for the Military; Meals on Wheels; Lifeline Project, (Providing Lifeline devices to seniors for independent living), Heifer Project International; Habitat for Humanity; our local food pantry; Partners in Malawi; a potable water project to be decided; Cards for Conference Missionaries and Toys for Tots.
