Choir Director
First United Methodist Church proudly maintains one of the finest church choirs in the county. In an age when most churches have moved to bands and praise music, First Church still enjoys the music of a great church choir. Our choir sings a variety of styles throughout the church year: classical, contemporary, gospel, jazz, etc.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in music, experience leading a church choir, an appreciation of the church year, a working knowledge of classical and contemporary Christian choral music, be conversant in vocal techniques, and be capable of recruiting and directing a diverse group of volunteers.
The position may grow in the future to become a Director of Music, and may include hand bells, and instrumentals.
